The 20th Anniversary line has been called both retro and classic. These are the specialty store releases that were made to most closely resemble the bears from the 1980s. Several of the cousins were also released but quickly got dropped from the line. These bears were marketed towards the collector more so than at children. They retained the pastel colors and most of the same tummy designs from the 1980s. The only additions made were that Perfect and Polite Panda were created into plush where before they had only appeared in the cartoon. Sadly this line was dropped before all of the bears and cousins were produced. It was replaced with the even shorter lived Celebration line.
